Apple’s big September event was a stage for the introduction of the new iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max. All three devices are already present in select markets. But now, the company has finally revealed its official pricing and availability here in the country.
For a quick recap, both the iPhone XS and XS Max inherits the design and most of the features that the original iPhone X has. However, Apple did a couple of unnoticeable but substantial upgrades to the new ones.
One of them is in the camera department. Apple said that the new iPhones can now take even better pictures thanks to its smarter software. Although, as per DxOMark, it’s still not enough to enough to dethrone the Huawei P20 Pro from the top spot.
But probably the biggest update here is in the performance. The new devices use the new A12 Bionic chip, which completely nailed the AnTuTu benchmark with a score of 363,525.
The same chipset is also found on the more affordable iPhone XR. While it uses the same powerful processor, the XR comes with a cheaper 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display instead of OLED, lacks dual rear cameras, and other minor compromises to keep the price down.
As for the prices, the new iPhone XR is definitely the cheapest smartphone in the line-up. This thing has a starting price of Php50,990, which is still relatively pricier than most flagship in the market today.
On the other end of the spectrum, we have the iPhone XS Max, which is undeniably the most expensive smartphone that Apple has ever made. The device starts at Php74,990 and goes up to a whopping Php97,490 for the 512GB model.
All devices will go on sale starting October 26.
