Dell’s gaming brand, Alienware, just launched a couple of new and powerful laptops for hardcore gamers.

First, there’s the new Alienware m17 R5 AMD Advantage that boasts a 480Hz refresh rate display. It comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 699HX CPU and AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU for a price of USD2,799.00 (around Php157,800).

The AMD Advantage means that the device comes with AMD Smart Shift Max that can dynamically shift between the Radeon GPU and APU for better performance in gaming, content creation, and rendering.

There’s also the AMD Smart Access Graphics for better frame rates and lower latency. Plus, there’s the AMD Smart Access Memory that optimizes the GPU’s memory usage.

The new m17 also has an improved chassis for better cooling with its dual intake fans and quad exhausts.

Keyboard options include a 1-zone AlienFX backlit, per-key AlienFX backlit, and CherryMX ultra-low-profile mechanical with per-key AlienFX lighting.

There’s also the Alienware x17 R2 which also has a 480Hz panel at FHD with 3ms latency, but does come with a 165Hz option for USD300 less. You can also choose between AMD FreeSync or NVIDIA G-Sync with Advanced Optimus.

Under the hood, it is powered by 12th-Gen Intel CPUs and NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti GPU. This one starts at USD2,249 (around Php126,800).
