Cherry Mobile has made its presence known in the Computex Taipei 2015 by announcing the Cherry Mobile Alpha Prime 4. It’s one of the very first smartphones to come packing the new Windows 10 Mobile operating system.
From a hardware standpoint, the Cherry Mobile Alpha Prime 4 seems to be a low-end smartphone. It utilizes a Snapdragon 210 chipset, which fortunately comes with a quad-core processor (based on Cortex-A7) and 4G LTE connectivity. It further packs an Adreno 304 graphics, a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with an expected 480-by-800 display resolution and 4GB of built-in storage. While not mentioned, it’s safe to expect that there’s a microSD support for storage expansion.
The remaining specs that have been officially revealed include the 5-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. In addition, there’s 512MB of RAM. Whereas the norm for smartphone RAM is at least 1GB, 512MB should be enough for running the efficient Windows 10 Mobile.
