Proud iPhone 5S or 5C owners no doubt shudder at the thought of dropping their Apple smartphone to an unforgivingly hard surface. But what actually happens when the fateful accident occurs? Check this drop test video to find out!
As shown in the videos, all credits of which goes to AndroidAuthority, the “beautifully, unapologetically plastic” used in iPhone 5C is not as durable as the high-end iPhone 5S. Obviously, the latter’s metal construction must had helped minimize the impact as the gadget came in contact with the ground.
Several other drop test videos further prove that plastic is simply inferior to metal. The older iPhone 5, for instance, fared better than its direct competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S3. Once again, the Korean rival’s former flagship device is designed with plastic backing.
But in the end, it’s not really about plastic or metal. Just don’t drop your spanking new iPhone 5S or 5C!
Wish I had that 5s.. Great vid though. :)
