Now that Nexus 4 is out of stock on the Google Play store and there seems to be no plans to restock the device, all eyes are on the next big thing. The Nexus 5 has been spotted in many occasions, suggesting that its official unveiling is imminent.

One of the more popular leaks is in Google’s unveiling of its next major mobile OS version, Android 4.4 KitKat. The search giant, however, soon pulled the KitKat statue video when news of the leak broke out, although a simple YouTube search still shows several user-uploaded versions of the same video. The mystery Nexus is seen at the 00:38 mark, being held by a guy wearing a greenish brown shirt.

Some days after, the Nexus 5 was again sighted at an FCC filing. The Google-backed phone was apparently attached by accident to the Verizon LG G2 documents. One of the photos show the rear part that’s quite similar to the one in the KitKat video.

Recent reports speculate an October release for the Nexus 5. Specs are said to be quite similar to the LG G2, although Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-bundled with it.
