After its launch in India, OnePlus One is eyeing Indonesia next. Our Southeast Asian neighbor will be able to pre-order the smartphone beginning January 27.

Announced in April 2014, the OnePlus One is a 5.5-inch smartphone with a quad-core Snapdragon 801, 3GB of RAM and 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. Its basic 16GB version is priced $299 during launch. In Indonesia, it’ll be priced RP 4,499,000, which is around Php15,920. Online retailer Lazada Indonesia will be the exclusive partner to sell the smarptphone and its accessories. Everyone there will have the chance to pre-order, but OnePlus will eventually revert to its invite-only business model afterwards.

The “2014 flagship killer” will be already late to the party if ever it does arrive in the Philippines. (It’s now 2015!) But it doesn’t hurt having one more choice for an Android smartphone here in our country, which begs the question: Could we be next to get the OnePlus One?
