OPPO has started rolling out the Android 10 and ColorOS 7 update as scheduled. Users of OPPO Reno, Reno 10x Zoom, and Reno 2 have informed us that they already received the said software update.

The Reno and Reno 10X were the first smartphones under OPPO’s Reno line. Both devices became available in the Philippines in June last year.

The OPPO Reno 10X Zoom‘s main selling point is its triple rear camera setup that has a 13-megapixel periscope camera with 10x hybrid zoom. Its other cameras include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 as a primary shooter and an 8-megapixel for ultra-wide photos. It also has a 16-megapixel ‘sharks-fin’ design pop-up front camera.

Moreover, it comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also features a large 6.6-inch AMOLED display and a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast-charging.

Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno is a toned-down version of the Reno 10X. It comes with a slightly smaller 6.4-inch FHD+ screen. In terms of performance, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor powers the device.

Optics-wise, the OPPO Reno only has a dual-camera setup, an expected downgrade from the Reno 10X. It has a 48-megapixel lens primary lens paired with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the other hand, it has a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera. Besides, it has a smaller 3,765mAh non-removable battery with VOOC 3.0.

OPPO Reno 2 users have also reportedly received the update as well. Although, it’s still in stages and not everyone is getting it at the same time. As for the Reno 2F, it seems like it’s a little late to the party as there are no reports about it yet.

To see if it’s already available, simply go to your phone’s settings and check if you have a software update notification. Do note that this version is still in beta, so keep that in mind in case you’re thinking of upgrading.
