Aside from the regular consumer products, Samsung also has enterprise versions of its smartphones. Oftentimes, they get special treatment because of security and additional features.
These smartphones used by companies don’t come with regular software either. Some of them require the software upgrade to be inspected and approved before the rollout. But that’s to be expected now that enterprises are more security concerned about security.
Previously, business-oriented Samsung smartphones only get security updates for 4 years. In order to make them more appealing, Samsung has decided to increase it for another year. Devices included are the following: Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S20 series, XCover 5, Galaxy A32 5G, and Galaxy Tab Active 3.
All these smartphones are expected to receive monthly and quarterly security updates for a total of 5 years from their respective release dates.
