This year didn’t start great as what we all want it to be. Unfortunately, the smartphone industry is largely affected. With a lot of stores closed, delayed launches, and even disrupted manufacturing, we’re all hoping that everything will soon be okay.
Even though 2020 seems so long because of so many things happening, we’re here to remind you that we’re just in the middle of the second quarter.
Interestingly, a new report from research firm Canalys reveals the most popular smartphone models globally for the first quarter of 2020.
The said report features the global ten phones by “sell-in shipments”. Just as expected, Apple’s iPhone 11 ranks first. The other Apple products on the list include the top-tier iPhone 11 Pro Max in number six while the iPhone 11 Pro ranks tenth.
Meanwhile, the Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has three devices on the list. These are the Redmi Note 8 and 8T in the second place, the Redmi Note 8 Pro ranks fifth and the Redmi 8A in the 9th place.
With new devices launched in the past month, we’re expecting drastic changes in the list. It is also likely that other smartphone brands will enter the scene.
