Quad-core smartphones get more affordable every day! For one, the Torque Droidz Quart introduces a fine Android experience for just Php2,999.

At that price, the Torque Droidz Quart has a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor (the same chip that powers the MyPhone Rio), Mali 400 graphics, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. This handset also sports microSD support, 3G connectivity and dual SIM.

Granted, the Torque Droidz Quart is not without its setbacks. For one, the 4-inch screen is small in today’s standard. For another, the 5-megapixel main camera lags behind far better cameras with at least 8 megapixels of resolution, but at least the front shooter is capable enough for the selfie shots. The battery life may not last a full day.

Again, the price is just Php2,999. Available color choices are white, two kinds of blue, black, red and white.
