Vivo users might need to wait a little longer before they get a taste of the upcoming FuntouchOS 10 software update.
After getting this year’s Mobile World Congress cancelled, the coronavirus (COVID-19) spoiled another launch. Vivo has announced that it is forced to delay the expected rollout schedule of its Android 10-based OS due to issues brought by the coronavirus.
FuntouchOS 10 is supposed to be in consumers’ hands by February for beta testing, but the epidemic has stagnated the development of the said operating system.
With this, Vivo says that the first public beta release for the FuntouchOS 10 should begin arriving by the end of March. Devices included in the list are Vivo X27, X27 Pro, NEX S, NEX 3, NEX 3 5G, and NEX Dual Display. More phones and their schedule will be announced in within the week or early next week.
Before 2019 ended, Vivo gave a sneak peek of what’s coming in FuntouchOS 10. Some of its key features include new icons, live wallpapers, animations, edge lighting, sytem-wide dark mode, and improved privacy management. Overall, there will be a massive visual overhaul in the design department, so we’re expecting to see something fresh.
