Cherry Mobile has rolled out the latest Windows Phone 8.1 update for its Alpha Luxe and Alpha Style smartphones. Improvements in battery life and support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 are among the several new features.
With the Windows Phone 8.1 update, Cherry Mobile Alpha Luxe and Alpha Style smartphones can now use Live Folders to organize the tiled apps into folders. These phones can experience faster charging times—up to 75% in improvement—thanks to the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support. The update also introduces automatic scheduling for further updates, SMS merge and forwarding and VPN through Wi-Fi. Several enhancements have also been made to the mobile version of Internet Explorer.
