Electric carmaker Tesla will be unveiling the prototype of the ‘Optimus’ humanoid robot this 2022, according to Elon Musk.
The Tesla humanoid robot is set to be revealed on the company’s second Artificial Intelligence (AI) day, which was delayed for over a month because the prototype wasn’t ready yet. It’s now scheduled on September 30th.
The Optimus will be 5’8″ in height and weigh 125 pounds. Dead lift capacity is 150 pounds while carrying capacity is 45 pounds. With a walking speed of 5 miles per hour, Tesla hopes that the robot can help with people’s chores.
