ASUS Philippines has announced the official opening of the ROG Masters 2016 Php115k gaming tournament in the Philippines.
Leading gaming brand ASUS Republic of Gamers is set to host a national tournament for aspiring DOTA 2 and CounterStrike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) gaming teams to showcase their skills.
The ROG Masters gaming tournament is one of the largest eSports tournaments in Asia with a grand prize of over $200,000 for the world championship. The prize pool for the Philippines amounts to Php115,000.
Starting today up until September 9, interested and aspiring gaming teams can register to the tournament by heading to the official Philippine microsite.
Online and LAN qualifiers will be held in a premier gaming hub in Manila on either September 17 or 18. The top 2 teams will be eligible to qualify for the quarter finals alongside other Asian winners.
Teams will fight it out from September to October 2016 in the local qualifiers to earn the right to battle in the ROG Masters grand finals main stage to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It will be a two-day event, from November 12 to 13.
