We had nary an article about Bluboo in the past years, and now we’re already on our third piece covering this Chinese company for this month alone. Bluboo just keeps making bold claims that just can’t be ignored. In fact, the company has announced the “world’s first Android Wear based sports smartwatch” in the form of the Xwatch.

Bluboo acknowledges that sports-oriented smartwatches are already in the market, but the company still insists that its own Xwatch is the real deal. The others, Bluboo claims, are just for show and taking on false appearance.

Until we get an actual unit to test for ourselves, we’ll have to rely on the announced specs. The Bluboo Xwatch boasts GPS, barometer, cardiotachometer and altimeter for fitness tracking. Powered by a 1.2GHz MediaTek 2601 chipset, this smartwatch features a 1.3-inch on-cell display with 360-by-360 resolution, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It’s only 9.8mm thick and has a 480mAh battery.
