The show has a huge fanbase and when the news about its cancellation was made public, a lot of people showed their disapproval online. Popular personalities such as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Hamill, Seth Meyers, Guillermo del Toro, and Sean Astin have all made their voices heard in the attempts to renew the show.

After celebrating the renewal of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Miranda announced the five celebrities had formed a group chat to obsess over the show together.
