The Insta360 X4 has been unveiled with a few significant upgrades.
For starters, the tiny Insta360 X4 camera now supports 8K video recording at a whopping 360-degree angle. It has a 30fps frame rate and uses the more efficient H.265 codec. The max bitrate is now at 200Mbps.
It still records 5.7K videos, but now at 60fps, which has been doubled from its predecessor. 100fps slow-mo videos are also possible under a sharp 4K resolution.
Insta360 also upgraded the Me Mode feature, which now outputs a sharper 4K 30fps resolution. The MaxView Mode has also been upgraded, as it now records at 4K 60fps.
Still, it uses the same 1/2-inch sensor from last year, which can snap 72-megapixel photos.
More than the camera, a couple of usability features have also been upgraded. The touchscreen is now bigger at 2.5 inches and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Insta360 has also included a removable lens guard for the two fish eye lenses. The 2,290mAh battery is also bigger than the predecessor’s 1,800mAh so it now lasts up to 135 minutes when shooting 5.7K 30fps videos.
The better camera capabilities and battery efficiency are made possible by the 5nm AI chip.
We spotted the Insta360 X4 on Henry’s Cameras website for a price of Php30,990. You can also get the Fast Charger Hub for Php3,290, Invisible Dive Case for Php6,490, and an extra battery for Php2,890.
