Last month, Sony released the RX100 VI. This new point-and-shoot camera is a refresh to Sony’s prominent and highly-praised camera line-up.

Due to its popularity, the company was eager to bring the said camera to a lot of markets. So, the Sony RX100 VI is now also available for pre-order here in the Philippines.

The official local pricing of the camera has also been revealed. The RX100 VI has a retail price of Php69,999, which is even more expensive than some of Sony’s A-series interchangeable lens mirrorless cameras.

The pre-order period will run until August 3. There’s a required downpayment fee of Php4,000  when you reserve an RX100 VI unit, which will be then subtracted to the retail price when you pay it in full upon pick-up.

Since the Sony RX100 VI is touted to be a killer travel camera, Sony is bundling a free ACC-TRDCX battery kit with each pre-ordered unit. The company is also throwing in a 64GB SD card so you can start shooting right away. That’s a total of Php3,700 worth of freebies.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Sony RX100 VI boasts a 24-200mm lens as its highlight feature. This allows you to shoot close and far away objects thanks to its telephoto-like maximum focal length.

It comes with a 20.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, a BIONZ X image processor, and a fast 0.03-sec autofocus speed with 315 PDAF points. This clearly makes the RX100 VI one of the fastest point-and-shoot cameras around.

The Sony RX100 VI also shoots in 4K with S-Log 3. P artnered with its tilting 3-inch LED screen, this really makes for a perfect vlogging camera.

So if you’re interested in getting this compact and capable camera, head on now to your nearest participating Sony Centres and authorized dealers to pre-order yourself a new Sony RX100 VI.
