In this year’s Mobile World Congress held in Shanghai, Vivo proudly introduced Time of Flight (TOF) 3D Sensing Technology and the bezel-less Vivo NEX.

Vivo TOF 3D Sensing Technology was coined by the experts as the ‘future of face-unlocking.’ This new technology can accurately identify objects up to three meters in front of it with as much as 300,000 sensor points, ten times higher than the current Structured Light Technology. In addition, TOF 3D Sensing Technology also opens potentials for entertainment and work.

Alongside the introduction of the said technology, Vivo also revealed their newest flagship, the Vivo NEX S. Staying true to its commitment in ushering its consumers to the future, Vivo NEX S vaunts notch-free free Ultra FullVie Display with 91.24% of screen-to-body ratio. Vivo NEX also houses an 8-megapixel elevating front camera and the Screen Sound Casting Technology since there is no visible earpiece.

Vivo also announced in MWC 2018 their in-display fingerprint scanning technology in the X21, which is now available in the Philippines.

Several Vivo research and development centers in the world are established around a globe and more will be coming soon as the company tries to further strengthen its roots.
