HONOR is making big moves after announcing its highly-anticipated comeback in the Philippines.

Earlier today, it was revealed on Facebook that HONOR hired Stephen Cheng, OPPO’s former Brand Marketing Manager and XTREME’s Vice President for Marketing. He will serve as the company’s Vice President for Marketing in PH.

Cheng is well-known in the local tech industry for helping orchestrate OPPO’s meteoric rise in popularity here in the Philippines. Only two and a half years after its launch in 2014, the Chinese brand got the #2 spot just behind Samsung. By 2018, OPPO eventually became the #1 smartphone brand in the country.

After his stint with OPPO, Stephen Cheng also helped XTREME Appliances’ expansion. Through his creative marketing and advertising efforts, XTREME has become a household name and is now one of the most popular appliances brands in PH.

When asked about what Filipino consumers should expect from HONOR, Cheng said that they are bringing the company’s latest innovations and products at prices that Filipinos could afford.

HONOR products will be available in the Philippines by Q4 2022.
