Google has now added support for its digital wallet service in more Southeast Asian nations, including Thailand and Vietnam, following Visa’s announcement last week that it was adding support for Google Wallet in Malaysia.
Google Wallet is now available in 57 different markets across the globe. Recently, it was launched in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan.
With an e-wallet, users purchase items at various retailers and pay for transportation. The company has teamed up with ticket-booking companies to let people store tickets on Google Wallet. In addition, Google also partnered with China Airlines and Air Asia to allow passengers to save their flight tickets in Google Wallet.
After adding the Google Wallet app to its smartwatch, Google has now expanded its mobile payment system to include fitness trackers from Versa and Fitbit.
