The Huawei 5G CPE Pro was officially launched, and it’s seen as the future of wireless home networking.
As the name suggests, the Huawei 5G CPE Pro (Customer Premise Equipment) supports ultra-fast 5G connectivity for your home. But since 5G networks are not largely available yet, this modem can also seamlessly switch back to 4G LTE for an uninterrupted connection.
The CPE Pro features Huawei’s Balong 5000 modem. As per the company, this revolutionary chip is the first to offer the aforementioned 4G and 5G dual-modes for commercial use, and first to deliver benchmark 5G download speeds.
Huawei claims that it can provide up to a whopping 2.3Gbps of download speeds. Partnered with its dedicated video and game accelerator channels, it can deliver top-notch media consumption and online gaming experience.
Since it runs on a SIM card, you can take this device easily anywhere you want. It also has a dual X full sub-6GHz signal support so it can capture the best possible wireless signal wherever you put it.
The CPE Pro is also compatible with Huawei HiLink, a smart home interaction platform. This allows you to create a mesh network with other HiLink compatible devices on your home.
Its official price and availability in the Philippine are yet to be announced. But considering that the Huawei 5G CPE Pro is a network-based machine, you can get it with ISPs’ home WiFi promos. Currently, the device is being used by Globe’s new Globe at Home Air Fiber service.
