Huawei was pretty optimistic when they launched the new Huawei Y9 Prime 2019.
A week ago, news broke out that US President Trump has lifted the ban on Huawei. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect as the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 was launched in the Philippines just a few days after that.
With this smartphone, the company will attempt to bring back the market’s confidence in the brand. Partnered with its unique features, the Y9 Prime 2019 could be another hit for the company.
To gauge how well it will perform in the market, let’s see how it stacks up with one of its biggest competition, the OPPO F11. Much like the former, this device also has its own strengths that make it one of the most appealing devices to get for the price.
With that, let our Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 vs OPPO F11 specs comparison guide you which between these two devices should you get.

Both the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 and OPPO F11 are clearly the best smartphones that the two companies offer for the price. But if it’s just between the two, I think we’ll have to hand the win to Huawei’s offering.
One of its most obvious wins is the pop-up camera. Both models do come with a 16-megapixel sensor, but there’s no denying that a levitating mechanism is way cooler than an annoying notch on the screen.
Speaking of which, the Y9 Prime 2019 offers a slightly bigger, distraction-free 6.59-inch FHD+ display. While the OPPO F11 has a respectable 6.53-inch screen with the same resolution. They may be identical in size and resolution, but having a notch-less design really makes a difference.

The OPPO F11 might get the one-up by having a 48-megapixel primary camera. But since that sensor size is divided into four, it means that it will only take 12-megapixel images at most scenarios. Albeit brighter as the individual pixels on the sensor will be bigger.
With that, some people might want to settle with the Y9 Prime’s 16-megapixel primary camera. And enjoy the benefits of the extra 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, something that the OPPO F11 doesn’t offer.
Both models have the same 4,000mAh battery. But to OPPO’s credit, the F11 do come with a faster VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The only problem is, it relies on an outdated microUSB implementation, while the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 has already moved on with its USB Type-C port.
Also, for the same price, you’re getting more storage with the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. The OPPO F11 only comes with 64GB of memory, while the former doubles that at 128GB. This gives you more room to store your apps, photos, and other media.
Speaking of the price, the Huawei Y9 2019 is now available for pre-order and will hit the shelves on July 13, 2019. Those who will pre-order the device will get a free wireless speaker valued at Php1,790. The device itself retails for Php12,990, making it the most affordable device to sport a pop-up camera as of writing.
On the other hand, the OPPO F11 is available in tons of OPPO kiosks, concept stores, muti-brand shops, as well as in numerous online marketplaces for a starting price Php12,990, and Php15,990 for the 6GB model. You can also get it at different installment plans via Home Credit.
