After being teased in Myanmar a few days back, OPPO’s arm in the Philippines has finally given word about the official launch of the OPPO F7 Youth here in the country.
In a Facebook post, OPPO Philippines announced that the OPPO F7 Youth will be launched on May 28th. However, nobody has given us with the official details about the pricing and availability of this device yet.
The short teaser did reveal some minor details about the smartphone, but nothing too exciting. It showed a device that’s identical with its bigger brother — the OPPO F7 — but expectedly with toned-down specs.

According to the video, it will have an AI-powered selfie camera which is really not so surprising as it comes as a standard inclusion in almost all OPPO smartphones nowadays.
There’s no information about the camera sensor used, but to give you a hint, the OPPO F5 Youth had a 16-megapixel front camera, while the standard F5 has a 20-megapixel sensor. On the other hand, the regular OPPO F7 has a 24-megapixel front-facing camera.
The teaser advertisement also showed the device’s back, which has the same Diamond Black color variant of the F7. However, it now lacks a fingerprint scanner. The video also showed us that the OPPO F7 Youth will retain the display notch on top.
If we were to speculate, it is most likely that the F7 Youth will use the same MediaTek Helio P60 processor, but possibly with a lower memory and storage capacity. We also think that the same 6-inch FHD+ screen and the battery will be carried over, just like what happened on the OPPO F5 and F5 Youth.
But until the official launch, we’ll just have to wait and see. We’re pretty sure more and more leaks surrounding this device will surface soon.
