The OPPO INNO Day 2019 event was held in Shenzhen China a week ago. This is where OPPO introduced new tech products and shared their plans for the future. And a couple of days ago, we attended the OPPO APAC Conference where they also discussed future plans and new prototypes.
With a theme “Create Beyond Boundaries”, OPPO plans to invest RMB50 billion (around USD7 billion) in research and development to come up with new hardware, software — an entire ecosystem of new products for the future.
The company also plans on investing more in 5G and 6G networks, AR, big data, and other futuristic technologies.
OPPO has always been committed in Research and Development, and they will continue to do so. In addition to that, the company will push the aforementioned development of an ecosystem, which will primarily use a smartphone as the gateway. And to tie it up altogether, OPPO promises to continuously innovate how they offer these services to make it more appealing to the market.
We’ll be seeing these developments from OPPO as early as the first quarter of 2020. This is when the company plans to launch new smartwatches, smart wireless earphones, and 5G CPE. The company even demoed their own AR glasses on the INNO LAB.
With that, we’re expecting to see more from OPPO by next year. Other than, of course, their line of smartphones that are expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm processors with 5G connectivity support.
