vivo v7+ infinity display

There’s no denying how stunning the Infinity Display looks like on the recent Samsung flagships. And that’s the exact reason why we expect other brands to follow through.

One of the aspiring and rising brands todaym Vivo, is expected to debut this special feature on September 7 in Mumbai, India with the Vivo V7+.

The invite that was distributed to the press shows the Vivo V7+ with an Infinity Display-like screen with its almost bezel-less sides. As per the rumors circling around, it will have a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a Full HD pixel resolution. It also appears that it will have a tall aspect ratio of 18:9.

And since the front is filled with the screen, there’s no room for a home button/fingerprint scanner. Hopefully, this is where we can see Vivo’s under-display fingerprint scanning technology in all its glory. Or maybe they could’ve relocated it at the back, like what both Samsung and LG did to accommodate the large display.

However, despite how interesting the screen is, Vivo is still trying to shift everyone’s excitement to its selfie camera. According to the invite material, the V7+ has a “revolutionary selfie camera” that will redefine your selfie experience.

There were also reports that the Vivo V7+ will only have a Snapdragon 660 chipset. This means that it will remain in the mid-range category. However, the price might spike due to the expected 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that will come with it. Furthermore, it is said to have a 3,500mAh battery and it will run on Android Nougat alongside their FunTouch OS 2.6.

UPDATE: Here’s our Vivo V7+ review.

Right now, we’ll treat these rumored specs as fiction. We’ll just have to wait until Vivo officially unveil all the details in the event happening a couple of weeks from now.
