xiaomi-mi-mix-2-leak

It looks like we’re close to seeing Xiaomi’s follow-up to their controversial smartphone. A couple of leaked materials shows a device that could possibly be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

A leaked image shows an image of a Galaxy S8/Note 8 lookalike. It appears that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will not just have a bezel-less screen, but it will also have a tall 18:9 aspect ratio with a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio. This means that the front of the device will be filled with just the display, just like Samsung’s latest flagship.

Rumor has it that it’s a 6.4-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 2k display. That’s a notch larger than the Galaxy Note 8‘s 6.4-inch screen.

And since there’s no more room for any buttons, it’s expected to sport an on-screen fingerprint scanner. Unless Xiaomi chose to have it at the back.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was also spotted on GeekBench’s website — revealing some of its key specs. It is said to have a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 835 processor with a chunky 6GB of RAM. It is also expected to run on ANdroid 7.1.1 Nougat, with the latest MIUI 9 on top.

Mi Mix 2 benchmarks

Well, that’s what we know so far. For now, we’ll just have to wait until the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 gets officially announced which is expected to happen before the year ends.
