Samsung Galaxy J7+ leak

Now that Samsung finally has a dual-camera smartphone with the Galaxy Note 8, we can expect them to have the feature available in its future devices. Actually, that “future” isn’t that far away, thanks to the rumored Samsung Galaxy J7+.

This upcoming handset might be an instant follow-up to the Galaxy J7 Pro — Samsung’s current weapon to survive the saturated midrange market. Only this time around, the Samsung Galaxy J7+ is upgraded with the latest features the company has to offer. Features that are also found on Samsung’s newly released flagship smartphone.

As per the leaked information from Thailand, the device will have a dual-camera setup at the back. Since this is expected to be a mid-range smartphone, it didn’t get all the fancy features that’s baked inside the Galaxy Note 8‘s camera.

It only has a 13-megapixel rear camera, with an extra 5-megapixel sensor for analyzing depth. It looks like it wouldn’t have a zoom lens, wide-angle, or OIS. But at least it has Live Focusing, a Note 8 feature that lets you adjust the background blur during and after the shot was taken.

UPDATE: Galaxy J7+ now available in the Philippines

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy J7+ will also have a dedicated Bixby button an addition that no one’s really excited about.

Samsung Galaxy J7+ rumored specs

  • Android 7.1.1 Nougat
  • Dual SIM
  • 5.5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, ~401ppi
  • 2.39GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor
