The Redmi Y3 is the successor of Redmi Y2, which was released last year. In a teaser posted by Xiaomi India, it can be seen that the upcoming handset will sport a waterdrop notch.
Unlike the Redmi Y2, which is basically a rebranded version of the Redmi S2, or the Redmi Y1 with the Redmi Note 5A, the Redmi Y3 will be a completely new device.

Moreover, it is said to feature Samsung’s ISOCELL GD1 sensor which has a Quad-Bayer layer and 8-megapixel image sensor with real-time HDR support.
The Redmi Y3 will become the first Xiaomi phone with the 32-megapixel selfie camera. As of now, the Mi Mix 3 holds the spot as the Xiaomi device with the highest resolution front camera. The Mi 9, which as a 20-megapixel sensor, follows at second place.
We shall learn more about the Xiaomi Redmi Y3, including its full specs and pricing details, once it makes its debut on April 24.
