asus zenfone 5 leaked

ASUS has already confirmed that they will be launching their flagship line on February 27. And judging how the company does things, we can expect the upcoming ASUS Zenfone 5 line to come in different variants and different price markets.

We’re pretty sure there’s going to be a “Pro” version, the standard ASUS Zenfone 5 variant, the selfie-centric, and the budget-friendly one with a large battery. Thanks to this recent leak, we might have an idea of how the latter would look like.

This render appears to have come from the manual — the reason why it is only in monotone color. But still, it was able to emphasize the device’s looks and possible features.

For one, the front has an 18:9 aspect ratio display. No surprises there since ASUS has already teased that feature in their MWC invite.

At the top, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, while at the bottom there are two speaker grills and what looks like a microUSB port. The lack of USB Type-C connectivity makes us believe that this is indeed the low-cost Zenfone 5.

Based on the render’s thickness, this smartphone might come with a large battery.

At the back, there are two cameras in a vertical orientation. It is kind of reminiscent of the iPhone X, but the LED flash’s placement throws it off. Also, ASUS still uses the fingerprint scanner, something that Apple is already trying to get rid of.

February 27 is still far away and I’m pretty sure we can still get a more detailed look at the ASUS Zenfone 5 as the leaks intensify days before its official unveiling.
