People’s attention is centered on the upcoming Huawei Nova 3. But apparently, Huawei has something more up its sleeve to surprise its avid fans.
As it turns out, the brand is also gearing up to launch the Huawei Nova 3i here in the Philippines. This development came from a Facebook user who posted a picture of an apparent marketing material for the said device, which he spotted inside a shopping mall.
The image shows a smartphone that looks very similar to the Nova 3, but with the Nova 3i branding imprinted on it. A few key features of the device are also written such as the quad-camera setup with AI capabilities, and one of them having a 24-megapixel sensor.

The standee also has James Reid on the background holding the said product. The celebrity is tasked to be the brand ambassador for the Huawei Nova 3i, much like how Pia Wurtzbach is on the P20-series.
As per the specs, we don’t have a lot of details about this device yet as all eyes are on the higher-end model, the Nova 3. However, since the Nova 3i is expected to be the cheaper alternative, we can expect it to be the same but slightly inferior to the Nova 3.
The Nova 3 is rumored to run on the new Kirin 710 processor, with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It will also have a 16-megapixel + 24-megapixel dual rear cameras and another 24-megapixel + 2-megapixel combo on the front.
The Nova 3i might not have the same Kirin 710 processor, but it might come with a Krin 659 chip, just like the P20 Lite. Also, the standee already confirmed that it will have 128GB of internal storage, which is far better from its predecessor.
But that’s all we have for now. The Nova 3 will be launching in China on July 18th, by then, we might also hear more details about the Nova 3i.
UPDATE: A commenter from Yugatech’s Facebook page has shared the picture below which details some of the information about the device. Unfortunately, it’s in low quality so we can’t decern some of the details. However, we can clearly spot the Php15,990 price tag. It will also come with an exclusive gift worth Php2,990 when you pre-order one.

How much did Huawei pay James Reid? his love team Nadine Lustre is now with Samsung endorsing the J6. I’m guessing Huawei paid him more than what Samsung offered. Too bad that talent fee will trickle down to the consumers who didn’t ask him to be a brand ambassador lol.
After i-endorse ng Motorola ni James Reid at Nadine Lustre, eto na sila for Huawei (Reid) and Samsung (Nadine). Ok lang yon walang bumili ng Motorola (rebranded ng Lenovo).
