Huawei is poised to continue firing on all cylinders this year in order to consolidate on its simmering success achieved last year which saw the Chinese company shipping over 140 million units of its smartphones.

Two new Huawei smartphones recently appeared on Chinese telecoms regulatory agency TENAA’s website recently signifying they have been certified. One of the smartphones belongs to Huawei’s Honor brand which the company says is an independent branch now, while the other phone belongs to the main Huawei brand.

Honor DUK-TL30

The Honor phone is identified with the code-name Honor DUK-TL30 and it comes with a dual-lens camera setup similar to those of the Honor 6X. The smartphone also comes with a round fingerprint sensor mounted on the back looking similar to that of the Honor 8. On the specs angle, the Honor DUK-TL30 is listed with a 5.7-inch QHD display and an unidentified octa-core chip. A device with 2K display needs nothing less than a powerful SoC like the Kirin 960 that recently debuted on the Mate 9.

In addition, the Honor DUK-TL30 was listed with 6GB of RAM as well as 128GB of internal storage which is expandable. The device also packs a 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel lens at the rear. There is also a generous 3,900mAh battery providing the juice. Also listed are Android 7.0 Nougat, LTE, and dual-SIM support. The device measures 157 x 77.5 x 6.97mm and weighs 184 grams.

Huawei WAS-AL00

The Huawei branded smartphone spotted on TENAA is listed with the model number Huawei WAS-AL00. In terms of the design, the device is said to look like the Honor 8, even though it packs a single camera at the rear and a mid-budget specs lineup.

The Huawei WAS-AL00 sports a 5.2-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The chipset onboard the device is also not named, but it’s noted to be an octa-core CPU. The device comes with 4GB of RAM, and there’s 64GB of expandable storage space on the device. In the camera aspect, the WAS-AL00 features a 12-megapixel camera sensor at the rear and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. The device crams a modest 2,900mAh battery under its hood and runs Android 7.0 Nougat from the get go. It has a dimension of 146.5 x 72 x 7.2 mm and it weighs 146 grams.
