Xiaomi’s successor to the Mi 5X is about to come. And with the latest leaked information, we get to see what the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6X has in store for us.
According to the report, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor clocked at 2.2GHz — the same chipset found in the Vivo V9. The processor is complemented by 4GB of RAM, Adreno 506 GPU and 64GB of internal storage.
On its front, the Mi 6X will utilize a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS panel. That’s a resolution of a 2160 x 1080 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Another standard issue is its dual rear cameras. There’s a quite generous 20-megapixel shooter at the back with a wide aperture of f/1.8, while a secondary 8-megapixel shooter sits at its side.
UPDATE: It’s now official. Find more details here.
And since it is a midrange smartphone, Xiaomi will give importance to its selfie prowess. So, the device is expected to have a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Lastly, the Xioami Mi 6X is rumored to come with a decent 2,910mAh battery. It is also expected to run on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 9.5.
Xiaomi is yet to disclose the launch date nor the existence of the Mi 6X. But considering that its predecessor was launched in July last year, we expect it to be official by Q2 or early Q3 of 2018.
