As reported earlier, Redmi is becoming a sub-brand of Xiaomi and is expected to launch their very first offering as an independent entity on January 10.
Thanks to China’s TENAA, we get a sneak peek on what Redmi is in store for us.

First, we have the Redmi 7. The most noticeable detail here is the design. The back panel has a shiny material, which is identical to Xiaomi’s own Mi Play smartphone.
It’s available in black, but there’s also a gradient color variant. The top starts with a red tint, which then transitions to a gold/orange tone. We can also spot a dual camera’s in here, with one of them rumored to have a 48-megapixel sensor.

However, the TENAA posting says that it will only come with a 12-megapixel sensor. So there’s a chance that the larger megapixel count might be exclusive to the Note version.
Speaking of which, we also have the Redmi Note 7. Much like the former, this one also has a gradient back design. Although the one picture has a purple-pink combo.

As for the specs, the Note 7 will have a large 6.3-inch. It’s not clear if it’s going to have a waterdrop-like notch, but that’s most likely the case. The device will also come with a decent 3,900mAh battery.
Redmi has scheduled an event on January 10. By then, we shall expect more information about these two devices, as well as details about their separation from the Xiaomi brand.
