Converge ICT has once again proven that it’s the best choice among Netflix streamers after topping the Netflix Speed Index in 2023.
Per Netflix’s benchmark, aimed at finding which ISP provides the ideal prime-time Netflix streaming experience, Converge sits at the top with 3.0 Mbps speed in 2023.
Proving not only speed but also consistency, Converge maintained an average speed of 3.25 MBps, well above the national average of 2.8 Mbps and way above other major internet service providers in the country.
Up until the end of 2023, Netflix has been dominating the Netflix Speed Index Leaderboard for 11 months. Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy boasted of Converge’s consistent performance in giving the best streaming experience to its over two million subscribers in 2023.
In his revelation, Uy said that unknown to many, Converge’s earliest adopters have been benefiting from the highest quality streaming experience with Netflix, which is 4K HD Ultra viewing.
While the Netflix Speed Index is strictly meant for measuring primetime Netflix performance, higher numbers indicate better visual quality, faster start times, and fewer interruptions.
In a move aimed at expanding Converge’s reach to the masses, the ISP launched Surf2Sawa prepaid fiber plans and the BIDA Fiber postpaid plans last year.
Adding to its accolade, Converge ICT took the top spot in the Ookla Speedtest Awards in Q2 2023, as announced in February 2024. Thus, earning the title of the Fastest Internet Service Provider in the Philippines while toppling the previous record-holder which held the label for five years.
