The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 has arrived with a sleeker design and improved features.
Right at first look, you’d immediately appreciate its large, almost-bezel-less display. Unlike the physical rotating bezel on the Galaxy Watch, it now comes with a digital one for a more seamless look.
The screen itself uses a Super AMOLED panel. It plays nicely with Samsung’s One UI, so it goes perfect with the company’s other devices like the Galaxy S10. The interesting part is, you can snap a photo of your outfit, and the device will put up a matching watch face to complete your look.
To further customize your look, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 in 44mm and 40mm sizes, choose between stainless and aluminum materials and pick between colors. It’s available in Black, Silver, and Gold.
It also has the usual health and workout features. The watch can record your workout performance and sleep quality. All of those are improved thanks to its more advanced heart rate sensor. Samsung also rigged it with electrocardiogram (ECG) feature.
If you want to go rugged with it, you can. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is IP68 and 5ATM water resistance, has a Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection, and is MIL-STD-810G certified.

For the specs heads out there, the watch comes with Samsung’s Exynos 9110 chipset and Tizen OS. It has 768MB of RAM, while the LTE model bumps that up to 1.5GB.
The battery is nothing too exciting. Just like most smartwatches, you’d be charging this one overnight via the magnetic charger that it comes with.
Samsung is yet to announce the official price for the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about it at the Galaxy Note 10 event that’s happening tomorrow, August 7.
