ASUS-Zenfone-Max-Pro-M1-vs-Vivo-Y85-Specs-Comparison

It feels like Vivo was almost certain that the display notch was the future when they launched the Vivo V9. Although they instantly changed their mind when they came up with the NEX series, an almost bezel-less smartphone.

But the notch lives on in the Vivo Y85. This is the company’s follow up to the V9 which is for those who want that display notch experience, but for a fraction of the price.

Other than that particular design touch, there’s actually more to the Vivo Y85. It has a lot of features that most people from its target market would really appreciate.

Both the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 and the Vivo Y85 has a lot of similarities. However, it is still obvious that ASUS’ offering won this battle overall.

Probably the most obvious reason is its processor. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset — which is currently the best compared to any other devices on its category. On the other hand, the Y85 only comes with an Helio P22 processor. It’s actually impressive as well, but it’s nothing compared to the competition.

But to the Vivo Y85’s credit, it does have an extra gig of RAM and a slightly bigger screen to make up for it.

Both phones also have the same megapixel in their front cameras. But the Y85 has a wider f/2.0 aperture and an even better software for handling selfies. In contrast, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 has a more pixel-packed dual rear cameras.

They also come with 32GB of expandable storage, which is enough to store all your apps and a bunch of pictures and other media files. Both also feature Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, but most people would surely appreciate more the Zenfone Max Pro M1’s stock Android interface.

ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 - Specs, Price

Without a doubt, the best highlight of the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 is its really huge 5,000mAh battery. It is clearly way better than the 3,260mAh capacity found on the Vivo Y85. While the Y85’s battery is actually decent enough to last you for a day, the one on the Zenfone Max Pro M1 can confidently keep your device working for more than a day or two, even with heavy use.

Vivo Y85 Philippines

What’s more interesting is, despite being better than the competition, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 is miles cheaper than the Y85. It only retails for a price of Php9,995, which is almost Php4,000 more affordable than the Vivo Y85’s Php13,990 price tag.

One of the main reasons why the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is really cheap is because of its lack of availability. This handset is a Lazada-exclusive device, which means you can’t find it in any physical stores nationwide. On the other hand, Vivo Y85 is pretty much available in all Vivo stores, kiosks and third-party resellers nationwide.
