Cherry Mobile just posted a teaser of the upcoming Jelly Bean update of the ‘Dual-core ng Bayan’, or more commonly known as the Cherry Mobile Flare. During the Titan’s JB update, a number of users requested that their smartphone should get supported as well considering the vast amount of users it has.

Well, Cherry Mobile was generous enough to heed their customers’ request as they are now preparing the much awaited Jelly Bean update. We reported before that the Cherry Mobile Titan and Flare won’t get the upgrade and it’ll just be incremental bug fixes, but we’re wrong. This is actually their second software update after the fixes released by CM on some features that aren’t working properly.

As a refresher, the Cherry Mobile Flare has a 4-inch WVGA display, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7627A processor, 512MB RAM, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, VGA front facing camera, and 1500mAh battery. This development will eventually result in more sales of the dual-core ng bayan and it’ll be more preferred by buyers over the CM Burst which is also priced at Php3,999.

The Jelly Bean update of the Cherry Mobile Flare is coming “very, very soon” so stay tuned for updates on Cherry Mobile’s official Facebook page.

  1. will it affect the phone’s processing if I upgarded it to JB? i’m doubtful kasi. Ice cream sandwich pa nga lang medyo mabagal na sya. pano na lang kaya kung JB?

  2. Hello, will they still upgrade the phone even if it wasn’t directly bought from cherry mobile kiosk or store? I still have my receipt kasi eh.
