Huawei has a new device for emerging smartphone markets. Dubbed as the Huawei Y7 Prime, this new smartphone packs decent set of features that aim to justify its modest price tag.
The Chinese smartphone brand has been well-known for providing products to cater every price category. From the high-end, dual-camera devices like the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus — up to affordable options like the Huawei Y3 2017 which is only sold for USD58 (around Php2,900).
With that said, the new Huawei Y7 Prime is pegged for the midrange market. Hence, it is said to be only made available in the Asian countries. This handset has a large 5.5-inch IPS display, yet an with an inadequate 1280 x 720 resolution. It sure can please people who prefer the display size rather than sharpness. With a screen this big, you’re only left with 267 pixels-per-inch density.
Thankfully, Huawei opted for a Qualcomm SoC rather than a MediaTek chip. The Y7 Prime is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, which can initially put a big smile gawking to its spec sheet. There’s also a 3GB RAM to complement it.
And since it is 2017, they are not compromising the camera attributes of the Huawei Y7 Prime. The camera section of this device boasts quite a lot of fancy numbers. For starters, there’s a 12-megapixel camera at the back, with a 1/2.9-inch sensor size. There’s also an 8-megapixel shooter on the front for all your selfie needs.
To juice it all up, there’s a large 4000mAh battery. Which, judging by the screen resolution and the processing power, can hopefully last you for more than a day with light to moderate usage.
