Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has added a second device to its list of smartphones in the Y series this year. Dubbed as Huawei Y3 2017, this smartphone was quietly released and has already been listed on the Huawei official website.
For those going on outdoor holidays and those who are scared to go along with their new high-end handsets, this device is certainly one for you to consider as it is not only a low-budget smartphone but is also rugged, durable, and beautiful.
The Huawei Y3 2017 sports a decently large 5-inch screen with an unfortunate 854 x 480 FWVGA display resolution. There is also a Mali T720 graphics which helps in delivering good performance for videos and games. It has a smoothly curved body with it will be available in gold, pink, blue, white, and grey colors.

As a result of the device being a low-budget smartphone, the Y3 2017’s processor and the rest of its specifications are quite introductory. It comes in two models. these are the entry-level MediaTek MT6737 4G chip with quad-core A53 architecture and 1.1 GHz clock speed and another version with the MediaTek MT6580 that has a 3G chip and quad-core A7 architecture.
The Huawei Y3 2017 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1 Mini layering on top. It is further armed with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage which can further be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
It supports dual SIM and 4G LTE connectivity. It also boasts of an 8MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus and LED flash with a 2MP selfie camera. Beauty mode, time-lapse and Panorama are other features of the camera which provide better photos with clear and sharp details.
Battery life of a smartphone is one of the most important parameters to consider these days when buying a smartphone. The Huawei Y3 2017 may not be a powerful machine but it packs a decent 2200mAh battery coupled with an Ultra Power Saving Mode which automatically gives a reminder on low battery.
