Huawei launched its newest EMUI 10.1 last week, along with the much awaited P40 series. Even though the added features are not much, having the latest operating system is still a good thing.
So just to recap, Huawei’s latest software update offers new features which mostly are replacement for some Google apps. Given that most of its recently launched smartphones no longer have Google Mobile Services.
For example, it now has a voice assistant named “Hey Celia”. There’s also a messaging up called MeeTime, an improved photo application, and some other features.

Here’s some good news. Huawei recently announced that the EMUI 10.1 will also be available to other Huawei and Honor devices. The not so good news, however, is that it will only be available for Chinese device variants for now. But don’t fret yet, as international versions will probably get it soon.
Currently, it is still on internal beta test but will expand to public beta tests to conclude a stable EMUI 10.1. Huawei is known for prioritizing the Chinese market. We cannot blame it either as a huge chunk of its sales are from its home country.
We just hope that the new update will be available to us soon as EMUI global Twitter account has been teasing it for some time now.
