Gaming on my smartphones and tablets has never been as good as playing on dedicated consoles. Some games were okay, some were bad. It’s a mixed bag.
One of the reasons behind this rather mediocre experience was the absence of a physical controller. I’m not saying that touchscreen controls were all bad – in fact it, it’s perfectly optimized for a number of games – it’s just that I grew up during the glory days of Playstation and other gaming systems – which explains why I’m so fond of physical gaming controllers.
aWhenever I play classic games that were ported onto Android, I realize how much I miss the old days. So I finally decided to jump in and try out the Moga controllers to see if it’ll make the mobile gaming experience rise up to another level.
As always, I fired up Amazon.com to check what Mogas they have on stock. I got interested in the Moga Power Pro and Hero Power, but I eventually bought the latter because I like its shape and smaller profile. To be honest, the Power Pro look so much better, but I value portability more.
My purchase was quick and easy as I’ve shopped on Amazon a lot before. I added the Moga Hero Power ($38.99) in my cart and I checked out. Since my order was above $30, I was able to avail of the free shipping Amazon offers. I paid my order, worth $42.50 (with tax) using my Globe GCash AMEX account, my favorite service when it comes to online shopping. After the confirmation, I received an SMS which contained the total amount I was billed – Php1,914.28.
My order is still on its way to my MyShoppingBox address as of this writing. Once it arrives, I will authorize and pay the air freight shipping (approximately $15) so they can deliver my package here in the Philippines. I’ll update this post the moment I receive my Moga Hero Power.
You can order the Moga Hero Power here.
Update: It’s now heading to the Philippines.
Hey it’s December already have you received your Moga controller already? I am having second thoughts buying never shopped anything online before.
