Cherry Mobile Titan Pro

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is undeniably the kind of phablets, one-upping its competitors by combining a large, high resolution screen with stylus-enabled input and creativity features. Of course, this combination also means it’s hella expensive. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have Php37k lying around that I can just throw at it.

Enter the Cherry Mobile Titan Pro — also a stylus-optimized phablet that’s sure to sell at a fraction of the price? How much? Cherry Mobile isn’t saying, but thanks to a trusted source, we’ve learned that the SRP is expected to be Php10,999. Yeah, the budget-minded gadget freak in me would definitely take that over something that’s priced north of Php30k, but it does have a few shortcomings.

First, it only has an HD screen and not a Full HD screen like a lot of flagship class phones from local brands have been coming out with recently. Second, it’s only powered by a quad core processor, not an octa core chip that will quickly become the standard for locally-branded 2014 phones. Still, there is a lot we don’t know yet about the Titan Pro so I’ll reserve judgement until I get to see it in person on February 4 at the official launch. :)
