Realme has made quite a name for themselves thanks to their bang-for-the-buck offerings. And sure enough, they are staying away from the shadows of its parent company — OPPO.
A few weeks ago, the brand wow-ed the industry when they introduced the Realme 3, a sub-Php7k smartphone that pushes the envelope by having a couple of interesting specs that we never thought we’d find on a device at this price.
But now, the company is upping their game by introducing the Realme 3 Pro, an obvious step-up to the Realme 3 that is also geared to obliterate those of the competition.
The question that we want to answer here is, how is the ‘Pro’ version really differs from the vanilla model? Here in our Realme 3 vs Realme 3 Pro specs comparison, we shall see what’s the difference between these two devices. Let’s start.

As you can see, the Realme 3 Pro is a major step up from the Realme 3. Both devices are positioned well far from each other, so Realme fans have the flexibility to choose which device to get depending on their budget.
For its price, the Realme 3 and its MediaTek Helio P60 processor is really a great steal. It can handle day-to-day tasks well, especially most game titles like PUBG Mobile, NBA 2K19, and the popular Mobile Legends. We have a dedicated gaming review for you to check out if, that’s your top priority.
But if you want an extra horsepower, you cannot go wrong with the Realme 3 Pro and its more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. It also comes with more RAM and storage options if you really want to go all out.
Another big thing about the Realme 3 Pro is its camera system. This device boasts a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 primary camera, which is the same sensor found on some flagship devices like the OnePlus 6T.
However, the 13-megapixel primary shooter on the Realme 3 is not too shabby either. It also has the same Chroma Boost and Nightscape feature, which allows you to take a more colorful photo and brighter images at low-light scenarios.
There’s also the pixel-packed 25-megapixel selfie camera, which can offer sharper details than the 13-megapixel camera that the former has.
Oddly enough, the Realme 3 Pro has a 4,045mAh battery, which is marginally smaller than the 4,230mAh capacity that the former has. However, I doubt that the difference will be noticeable in daily use.
Plus, the VOOC 3.0 charging technology that the Pro model has is really fast, as what we found out on our OPPO F11 Pro.
Probably one underrated difference that these devices have is their design. The Realme 3 has a shiny, plain back panel that is available in different color gradient options.
But on the Realme 3 Pro, we have a more distinct new design pattern on the back. It has a Le-Mans speedway-inspired look with an S-curve accent that reacts to light. Realme really wants you to feel that you’re getting the more expensive model on this one.

Speaking of “expensive”, both of these devices are not costly at all. The Realme 3 starts at only Php6,990 here in the Philippines and goes up to Php9,990 for the top-of-the-line model.
Meanwhile, the Realme 3 Pro retails in India for INR13,999 and INR16,999 for the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB models, respectively. Its official launch details in the Philippines is yet to be announced. But as per the direct conversion of its price, we expect it to be priced at under Php14k when it gets here.
Realme 3 has gorilla glass 3, btw. Also the Pro version is targeted at gamers, since the soc and gpu is for that purpose.
Thank you for sharing this detailed information about the differences. It quite helpful for potential buyers.
