Two of the most-awaited budget smartphones have finally reached the Philippines. Both the new Realme 3 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 boasts a really appealing set of features that will put a lot of their competitors to shame.
The Realme 3 is the second product that the OPPO sub-brand has brought to the country, right next to the more affordable Realme C1. Just like the latter, the former tries to push the envelope as it brings a couple of features that we never saw was possible to be included for a device at this price.
That is also what Xiaomi did with their similarly-priced and newly launched smartphone in the Philippines, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.
When it was announced a couple of months back, people just can’t stop talking about it. Our readers have been bombarded us with questions about its official arrival and pricing details locally. But now that it’s here, we finally have the answers.
But when the new Realme 3 came in to picture, it’s no surprise that some people had second thoughts if the Xiaomi’s offering is still the best option. Which is why here in our Realme 3 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 specs comparison, we’ll help you decide which between these bang for the buck smartphones is right for you. Let’s start!

Before knowing which is the real winner between these two devices, let’s digest first the table that we saw above. As stated earlier, both the Realme 3 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 boasts a lot of characteristics that we never expect to see on devices at this price.
For one, the Realme 3 sports a powerful MediaTek Helio P60 processor, which we only saw before in sub-Php15k devices like the OPPO F9 and the Cherry Mobile Flare S7 Plus. That chipset is coupled with different RAM and storage configurations, and a Mali-G71 MP3 GPU, which handled almost all the available Android games around, as what we found out in our dedicated gaming review.
The Realme 3 also brags a larger 4,230mAh battery, which delivered a reliable performance, and a Nightscape feature in its 13-megapixel primary camera — all of which performed well when we were testing if for our full review.
As what you’ve seen, the Realme 3 is a great device in its own regard. But the thing is, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 did upstage the former as it offers a more appealing set of features.
For starters, the Redmi Note 7 has a sharper 6.3-inch FHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a more reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, and a 48-megapixel primary camera.
Xiaomi also used a more dated USB Type-C port for the Redmi Note 7, plus other more modern connectivity features like WiFi ac and Bluetooth 5.0. It even has an IR blaster on the top.
If you think all those better features are worth an extra Php1,000, then you should go with the Redmi Note 7. This thing starts at Php7,990 for the 3GB/32GB model, while the Realme 3 with the same configuration is cheaper at Php6,990.
For the Redmi Note 7’s starting price, you can already get the 64GB model of the Realme 3. But that’s if storage is really important to you. And if so, you might want to go overboard and get the Redmi Note 7 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Php11,490.
The Realme 3 will be available starting March 25, while the Redmi Note 7 will come out two days later on March 27.
Redmi Note 7 configuration is much better comparatively. It is a good phone which has become very popular among young generation.
Thanksfor sharing, have a good day.
