Samsung has introduced two new entry-level smartphones labelled as the Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G.

Both smartphones boast of entry-level price tags but come with sleek designs and Samsung did take things to a higher plane by featuring relatively decent specs onboard. Some of the notable features include that the Galaxy J2 Ace comes with is a unique front camera flash. On the other end, the Galaxy J1 4G comes with Super AMOLED display, making it one of the most affordable devices with that technology. Both J-series handsets are also 4G-enabled.

Let’s take a quick look at the specifications of the Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace sports a large 5-inch display and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad core processor backed by 1.5GB of RAM. The budget smartphone also has 8GB of storage onboard which can be ramped up to 256GB via microSD. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 and front flash.

The Galaxy J2 Ace gets its juice from a 2,600mAh battery and comes with support for Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, USB 2.0, GPS and GLONASS. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer and Proximity. It also comes with features like Ultra Data Saving Mode, S Bike mode, S Power Planning, S Secure, and Turbo Speed technology.

On the software end, the smartphone comes pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is also available in gold, black and silver color variants. The device’s price starts at 8,490 Rupees in India which is around ~Php6,300 when converted directly.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 4G, on its part, features a 4.5-inch SUPER AMOLED display with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor firing it up. The processor is complemented by 1GB of RAM and there is 8GB of internal storage which can be easily expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The J1 4G packs a modest 5-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. Up front, you get a 2-megapixel sensor.

There is a 2,050 mAh battery under its hood and on the software side, it runs an extremely outdated Android 5.1 Lollipop. Connectivity options available on the smartphone include, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, 4G VoLTE, USB 2.0, GPS, and GLONASS. Just like the J2 Ace, other features also available include Ultra Data Saving Mode, S Bike mode, and S Power Planning.

The Galaxy J1 4G comes in gold, black, and white color variants and carries a price tag of 6,890 Rupees in India (~Php 5,100).
