The new Android phone from Torque was finally released. Torque Droidz Mate, as announced last December, is Torque’s follow-up to their Droidz series. It has enhanced hardware and specifications to cater the growing needs of people who uses android phones. Unlike the older Torque android phones, this new offering will eventually let you experience a better gaming and User Interface  responsiveness because of its good enough specs and capacitive touchscreen which fits today’s standards. Plus, it sports the usual Dual Sim/Dual Standby capability of their smartphone which lets you to have two networks always on at the same time.

Here are the complete specifications of Torque Droidz Mate:

  • Dual Sim / Dual Standby
  • 3.2 inches WVGA  Capacitive touchscreen
  • SC6810 550mHz processor
  • 256Mb RAM
  • 512Mb ROM
  • Android 2.2 Froyo (there will be an update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread)
  • 2MP camera with flash
  • Expandable memory up to 32Gb
  • Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot , Bluetooth
  • GPRS, EDGe, No 3G
  • GPS function
  • Quadband

Torque didn’t dish out the internal memory and battery information so we should take note of that and check it. One of the major downside of this phone is the lack of 3G connectivity but other than that it is actually fine for its price. If you are looking for a budget dual-sim android phone then you may settle with this but you can also consider another one like the one we reviewed which is the Alcatel Glory 918N. Torque Droidz Mate is now available nationwide in the Philippines for only P4999. It can satisfy almost all of your daily needs and the dual sim feature is a major plus  so be sure to check this one out.

  3. Hi leecpa,

Nope. If you’re worried about quality, you can always choose the well-known brands to assure you great satisfaction and top-notch quality.

  4. Hi cel,

Pwede mong iset ang GPRS settings nya manually. Madali lang naman. Ano bang network mo?
