Torque finally woke up from their long sleep as they finally unveiled two new affordable android phones. But, it’s somehow disappointing as they didn’t managed to take a crack at the mid-range level of other local android phones. Well, their price justifies the performance so we can’t really complain.

The Torque Droidz Sport flaunts a 3.5-inch capacitive display with HVGA (320×480) resolution so that means you all know what to expect here. It has a 1GHz single core processor, camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microSD card up to 32GB and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Well, if you’re asking for the rest of its specifications, Torque didn’t provide it so that’ all we have. The Torque Droidz Sport is priced at Php2,799.

On the other hand, the Torque Droidz Force has a bigger 4-inch capacitive display with a decent WVGA (480×800) pixel resolution. The processor is the same at 1GHz processor, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and camera feature. Both phones have dual-sim feature and there’s no mention of RAM and internal storage. The Torque Droidz Force is available for only Php3,299.

I was expecting a comeback from Torque but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. Perhaps the Torque Droidz Blast and Torque Droiz Atom can put them back in the game. But the question is, when?

These android phones are for those who want to try the android world for a low price but it doesn’t look enticing enough considering their are other alternatives with dual-core processors and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich for only Php3,999. What do you guys think? Will you pick up either of the two?
