Vivo has launched two new devices that are standing in their high-end line. The Vivo X9s and X9s Plus are an obvious follow-up to the smartphones with the same name, both having dual-camera setup on the front.
The Vivo X9s and X9s Plus was first teased last month, and now it’s finally official. The dual selfie cameras in front dictate that it’s their answer to the OPPO F3 and F3 Plus, who are proven to be successful here in the Philippines. But the problem is, the first X9 devices weren’t able to reach the local shores.
Hopefully, we can get our hands on the new Vivo X9s and X9s Plus this time. The two has a 1080p display in front of it. The X9s is a 5.5-incher, while the Plus version has a bigger 5.85-inch screen. The Plus version also has a larger 4,015mAh battery and a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor. On the other hand, its younger brother has a smaller 3320mAh battery and a Snapdragon 652 — both are still relatively decent.
The two also shares the same dual selfie camera setup. There’s a 20-megapixel sensor for selfies and an extra 5-megapixel one for capturing depth information. Vivo skipped the wide-angle feature and stuck to the Bokeh mode like what their V5s smartphone does.
And since they are from the same family, both the X9s variants share the same design. They also have the same looks as with the iPhone 7, and other devices that look identical to Apple’s current flagship.
But nevertheless, it looks like a pretty gorgeous phone. All-metal build, fancy color variants, and all that good stuff. The official photos also show a thick chin that accommodates a fingerprint scanner. This means that it won’t feature Vivo’s under-display fingerprint scanning technology.
