ZTE puts a third generation Blade android phone towards the entry to mid-range level marketplace through the ZTE Blade III. The Blade series of ZTE was fist popularized through the help of Smart Netphone 701, which is actually a rebranded ZTE Blade. There are only a few 4-inch smartphones around that costs less than 9k and we’re very glad that ZTE joined the fun.
The ZTE Blade III is not a power packed android phone but it does bring very decent specs in today’s standards. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM which is not bad at all considering its relatively low price. However, there is one threat to this device – the Cherry Mobile W900. It features a faster 1.2GHz processor and a similar 512MB RAM. Meanwhile, Cherry Mobile W100 offers an almost identical spec sheet to ZTE Blade III apart from a few shortcomings.
Another competitor is the Lenovo P700i. Although priced Php3,000 higher, the P700i has a dual-core 1GHz processor which is a mile better than a single core. Check out the full specs below.
The ZTE Blade III is priced at Php8,990 and it will soon be available in the Philippines.
